Default Removable/bolt in cats on Nbs 1500?

I want to go catless but want to be able to keep them and bolt them in later if needed for smog. I'm in California. Has anybody done this? Any pictures? Thanks!

cut them out, weld vband's on them and pipe. reassemble.
Weld V bands on same length piece of pipe..

Cut outs won't pass smog unfortunately

thats why you have v bands.....to swap them out at inspection time
