Default Remote Starting Options

Well now that the winter months are upon us here in the northeast and the weather is getting cold I would like to get a remote starting system for my truck. I called several local shops and basically I have two options; the first being an Ultrastart 1272, and the second is an Omega Excaliber. I'm wondering if anyone has any experience good or bad with either of these systems. Both are very similar in price. Thanks

I would like to put one in myself but have fears. The lock/unlock relays mainly.

I put one on my wife's 03 Tahoe and loved it, I don't remember which brand but it was an easy install. I have thought about one for my truck but for the price I could finish my cam install and be happier.

well, i work at best buy and can tell you that install is included in the price of the kit.
I personally have the 5701 LE 2-way remote start from viper and i'll be upgrading to the 5901 kit in the next two months. the are only two differences between the two. the 5701 has a range of about 2000 feet (pretty darn accurate) and the two way system is a combination of LEDs and sounds. the 5901 has a LCD two way system and has a one mile range.
pm me for prices.

not worth the difference in price IMO, and if i'm not mistaken that price from viper's website is without install.
