That is how I have mine installed in my intake tube. Has been working fine like that for almost 4 years.
Which side of the throttle blade is the EGR on? Because mine is in the intake tube before the TB it is not subject to high vacuum. I doubt that would be a problem but it would not hurt to monitor it when idling to make sure it is not leaking. I think the older camaro 1996?? had an IAT sensor in the intake manifold mounted in a grommet.
The sensor I am using came from a 96 camaro.

Which location is more accurate for the PCM, in the EGR port or intake tube? And how close to the throttle body should it be in the intake tube?

from what I have heard either location for the new IAT sensor will work, as close to the throttle body as possible. Im going to put mine in the intake tube just leaving enough room for a nitrous nozzle

Is this iat kit plug and play for the trucks, same type of connectors? If so which one would be the best, putting the iat sensor in the side of the intake manifold behind the throttle body (just like on page 1) or in the side of the intake tube in front of the throttle body?
Thanks

I think im going to order this one. Am going to start doing some VE tuning and i was originally going to just use a weatherpack plug to unplug the maf only, but now im just going to tap the intake and do it this way!
OH MAN, summit has it $1 cheaper haha

I found out the one from ieatsrt8.com is plug and play for the trucks. It is nice, looks stock. I believe he has two iat relocate kits but the one that is in the picture on the website is the one that will work for the trucks.
