I may have a good deal on a 3.73 gear set and a g80 out of an 2000 4x4 ECSB wii that fit in my 2000 2x4? Would it be worth the trouble? I have the 3.42 one legger in there now.

 

go for the 3.73's if ya want... but in my opinion if your going to swap the rear might as well put in a posi.... since your going to be jumping in there anyway.

 

When you say "good deal", what kind of deal are we talking about? I wouldn't pay over $100 for that gear/LSD combo (unless you are talking about the whole housing), and I would think real hard about it before I even spent that much. Also, how many miles are on the gears?

Don't forget you are going to need a hook up on the install too, unless you are talking about swapping the entire axle housing and all?

 

Well, I can get either the whole rear end or the guts, and the dude is supposed to be letting me know how much he wants, are the g80's that bad? I would love to stick an posi in there but they are pricey. I am a bit confused on how the posi would perform as compared to the g80, the only ones I have been around (g80) are on 4x4's and they use them in the woods not for the street.
