Default Realistic Expectation??

My new motor for my 05 CC Z71... Fresh 06 LQ4 bored 30 over, 317 heads with port clean-up and milled .030, 224/220@50 581/581 on 116 lsa cam. CAI, Longtubes, custom mandrel bent Y-pipe with mini High flow cats and Magnaflow CB. Still using the NBS 5.3 intake for now. Tuned by Black Bear Performance. Yank 2800 TC 4:88 gears and oh yeah 35X13.50's on 20X10 inch rim lol. Anyway what would a realistic dynojet # be? The 5.3 with same supporting mods made 279 HP.

Not hanging my hat on dyno #'s by any means just curious

That setup would be great with some boost, but to answer your question: those big wheels are obviously gonna hurt your numbers. I'd say somewhere in the 270 range.

I was at 279 with the 5.3 all the same bolt-ons and tune. Surely I will gain something. I know it's not going to blow anybody's socks off but I was thinking surely at least a 40-50 gain

Sorry I misread that whole thing. You are probably right that you'll have gained 40-50. How does it feel? Mine gained more HP after it broke in for a few thousand miles.

Still don't know haha. Completed the swap last Sunday trying to wait patiently for my re-tuned PCM to show up in the mail so I can crank her up. Maybe today

I don't have any numbers, but the nbs 5.3 intake was a HUGE restriction on my motor. with the ported lsxrt its a whole different motor above 4k rpms.

I got the computer today. It feels pretty strong. Pretty big difference and I haven't gone more than 1/2 throttle and maybe 4k rpm

Got any pics of your rig? Don't see many on here with real tires haha. Bit, I'd say its probably 305-320ish

I could deal with that. Thinking about when I go to dyno it to take a set of stock 16 steels with stock size tires so I can do two pulls to see exactly how much these big wheels and tires suck up. I have heard theories ranging from 40-over 100 HP lost due to heavy and tall wheel/tire combo's. I do have a dig pic but can't figure out why it doesn't show up . I will figure it out

Got the pic in my sig now. I need to upload a new one cause I have de-molded and de-badged since that pic but still the same otherwise.
