I just installed ARH 1 7/8 headers with no cats thru 3" xpipe to two 12" Borla XR1 mufflers to tails dumped over axle and got the same raspy issue. I just ordered 2 16" Borla XR1 mufflers to go in front of 12" mufflers. I will let you know how it sounds. I'm also thinking the length of tailpipes may be attributing to the raspy sound also.

it sucks, its annoying. From what I hear the Spintech only has a little bit of rasp at 3k. at part throttle I never see more than 2500 since its unnecessary to stab it just driving.

cuz it sounds like firecrackers going off in garbage can.

you can never get rid of the rasp completely. All you can do is make it sound good. Im running 4 mufflers on my truck. Two powerstick mufflers and a pair 1chamber flows. All metal with none of that shitty sound absorption material.

My old camaro had macs with an ory and the biggest ultraflo muffer. It still rasped and sounded like ****. It was just tamed down.

Cherrybomb Vortex or extremes. The extremes still get a little rasp, but the vortex don't They are way cheaper then anything else you will be able to find as well.

Ignore the dog barking on the first rev

It is quiet but it still has cats on it, and I also got a somewhat large version. Hop over to cherrybomb's website and listen to the chevy 2500 they have a clip of. Sounds awesome.

hahaha, I watched that clip on youtube the other day looking for different mufflers and I was like "hey, I know him!"

Dug, sounds like your main cause is the power sticks. Glass packs are gonna rasp like an SOB cuz the old school guys liked that hoakey ****.. I am not a fan in the slightest. I can live with slight rasp especially if its in the upper range because the only time I see about 3500+ is at WOT. With the 6.0 its unnecessary to rev past 2500 just cruising

when I stab it, I stab it and make it count, fuel aint cheap and my truck LOVES it haha
