Default Rasp :(

I've got some terrible rasp at part throttle, and only certain RPM. Is there any way to get rid of it??

Exhaust is pacesetter LTs no cats 3in Y, single 3in into a magnaflow small case 3in pipe out to the underside of the fender

I'm in the same boat as you. I've tried a corsa sport, dynomax bullet and hooker aerochamber. The aerochamber sounds by far the best but still hasn't gotten rid of it.

I don't think its the y-pipe. When mine was stock manifolds with a 2.25" ORY it rasped horribly; switched to lt's with a 3" ORY and haven't had a problem since. I think you just need a longer muffler or a small resonator.

Its the magnaflow.I Installed them on my setup and they drove me crazy.I ended up installling dynomax bullets on the end of my pipes ,right at the rear.took care of the problem.I didnt have the issue with any other muffler setup i had on the truck.

Hmmm, I like the way the magnaflow sounds tho. I think the only other thing I would go to is a corsa sport or just a long bullet and a smaller bullet before it. A guy I used to work with had that set up on his T/A and it sounded amazing.

Random Hero, if I didn't HATE the 'rattling' sound from the aero chamber I'd probly do that.

Do you guys think maybe a single in dual (3in) out magnaflow would sound better since there would be more room for flow? I'm really tight on space since my Y connects where the DS goes into the trans. Didn't think about flanging the headers just wanted exhaust on haha

With LT's and no cats the Corsa will be very raspy too...I wouldn't spend the money on it, you'll just be disappointed.

Dammit rasp is a bitch haha

Well either dual pipes or a bullet before the muffler? I like the volume of it now just don't want rasp

My side exit with the magnaflow was the same way. you don't remember when ran to Autozone to get parts for your truck. I would sold you my magnaflow for cheap.

Just so you know ,I have duals and its twice as bad, lol. The raspy almost made me sick after installing the mags.I went from a deep tone dynomax to what i thought was going to be a quiet magnaflo sound.what a dissappointment, for those expensive sobs.I wish i knew why theyre so loud.Im still lookin for something to quiet it down.I DID see that flowmaster has a new hp2 now that looks like itll do the trick as a resonator.check em out.pricey tho ,like 139.00 each.
