A buddy called tonight and told me the guy he works with bought a Hemi 1/2 ton and he has out run all there trucks most of which are stock;So they wanted me to run him so I head out to meet him we talk he has 3.92 gears other than that he is stock at 345hp.We head out to where we are going to run and on the way he wants to go at 30 mph we hit it! we are door to door then I hit second gear and I start to pull on him about 4-5 lengths,Well we get to the open straight away, we line up I gave him about 4 lengths, and the move he launched like a rocket not a skweak out of his tires,I launched and started spinning He is now out on me about 6-7 I start gaining fast I beat him by 1 length.I also was on 3/4 tank of gas,and he was on empty I had to follow him to the gas station he said I was the first Chevy to beat him I told him there will be more!One thing is for sure the Hemi 1/2 ton is the best running Dodge of the bunch,stock trucks beware I think these things will run 15.0-15.3 in stock forum in good weather and they don't shut off until 115mph.The WidowMaker02 <img border="0" title="" alt="[Cool]" src="gr_images/icons/cool.gif" />

 

SWEET I love the street racing stories with Hemis and Dakota R/Ts. I have only raced one Dakota R/T and it was in Waco. It was a white regular cab. We hit it from a stop light and were side by side until my 5.3 started pulling hard at 3500 RPM, then at 40 mph at the other side of the intersection I had him at about the middle of my bed and the road kind of dipped and my one wheelie peelie just went up in smoke and he passed me. He had exhaust and not sure what else.

 

yeah, if u caught him from 6-7 car lengths <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" /> then he is way slower than a flat 15.
