Ran 14.0 with the Suburban

So close to the 13s but they ended up being so far away. I went up to New England Dragway for some opening day racing. The weather was good and the place was packed. I took 4 runs before calling it a night. Ran back to back 14.08s and then a 14.20 and 14.22. Both of those runs bumped the rev limiter going into 3rd. I was going to take a 5th pass but that would have been an hour of waiting and then another 2 hours home so I left happy with the 14.0 @ 96.59 MPH. I launched the truck in Auto 4WD. That produced 60' times of 2.0 on each run (best was 2.00). Not to bad for 6800lbs.

I was told that the first time I took a pass some people in the stands were saying "look at the bus". Their tone changed when I spanked the AWD Subaru. He ran a 14.3 @ 97 which is still pretty good.

LOL! Sleepers are the greatest. I think that's about what my WRX would do as it's an auto and would run a poor 60' time just flashing the converter...mine's totally plain looking too, down to the stock RE92 tires. If I brake stalled it, I'm sure it'd be quicker but it's enough to embaress a 99+ GT from a roll!
Doesn't the 'Burban have a 4L80E behind it?

LTNKLR01: I'm considering heading up next Wednesday night. It depends on if I'm doing to do one more mod to push it over the edge. It's been a few years since I've been up there on a regular night. I've been doing track rentals for awhile ($100. for unlimted runs between 1 and 5PM). Those are good for tuning or if you just want to let the truck sit next the line for awhile to cool down. It was good to be able to hang out with everyone in the pits.
greentahoe: The kit is intercooled and making 7.5-8# of boost. I'm running a Yank 2600 converter. Considered the 3200 but I tow about 10,000lbs.
whitt1: These runs were done with the stock wheels/tires. The 22s are about 3" taller and a total of 80lbs heavier.
