there back at ya, F8L! Out of curiousity F8L, do you now have the fastest ext cab around, regardless of brand?!? You are fast gaining on that 11 second slip! Good luck, thanks again for the info on the STS products. Now just get Robin to ship us our Hemi kits ASAP instead of after SEMA.

If i talk to Rick Squires or Dave South in the next couple days I'll tell em you Hemi boys are getting anxious so speed things up.

I am defiantely not the fastest. The C3 guy is an extended cab and he is neck an neck with Parish in a 408ci with 300shot.

I'm sure there are others as well. I know of 2 SS Silverados that are right there with me as well. I don't know of any 5.3Ls though.

I'm gonna try for that 11sec slip but I hink that water episode did do some damage at least. I changed my oil yesterday and found this nice shiny piece of metal. Kinda looks like an earing stud but bent in almost a U and brass in color. God knows where that came from and I can tell by how the truck starts that compression is down. Still feels like it has decent power but it wont last long thats for sure. LOL

Yeah, I know Parish is smokin' but he is a regular cab tho?
Thx for any help for us Hemi turbo wanna be folks, you cannot imagine the ammount of very patient waiting we have been doing. I for one am totally amped just thinking about the STS kit!
That "earring" piece sounds suspiciously like a lifter or rocker needle bearing. This is a common problem on the LS1 motors that have had overrev or extreme valvetrain pressures. This also may be why you are getting low compression readings on two of the cylinders.
Do a search in the LS1/LS6 section on "needle bearings" as there are a bunch of posts on it.
Good luck getting back on the high boost road, thanks again for the heads up on the issues you have/had.

At first i thought it was a bent needle bearing but I am not sure. Usually the bearings are silver and not this long. I'm gonna see if I can get a pic of it and post it up for inspection.
