raising the rev limiter dosent help on a stock motor(not much more power to be made) but if you make your enging have more up to then you will want to raise it... or you could just do away with the revlimiter all togeather but then you risk blowing it up... I have my SBC in my old truck turning 7000RPM but its not excally stock
