Default Radix and Supporting Mods for 5.3

I want to run mid to high 12's. Currently, I run 13.7's at about 100 mph. Truck has efans, 3.25 pulley, TOG headers with single 3" exhaust, and volant. Here is what I was thinking;
  • LPE; gt2-3 cam
  • hardened pushords
  • Z06 valve springs
  • true 3" inch duals

Other things which Im contemplating;
  • 6.0 #317 heads
  • 3.0 pulley
  • meth injection

What combination of these mods or others will get me there.

I've run a best of 13.24 with the 3.25 pulley, stock cam, and drag radials. I'm HOPING with the cooler weather coming up, and race gas, I might be able to hit high 12's. I'd go with the cam, Forget the dual 3" (your present set up looks good), with a little more timing, and meth, you should be there. There's LOTS to be gained in tuning! You're probably going to need some kind or drag radials, too.

I would go with the meth injection, more timing, smaller pulley and some good tires and you should be there. Mjhoward would be the guy to tlak to, shoot him a pm, we put meth/laky injection on his truck, lt headers, cam, and a 3inch pulley and he was putting down like 413hp and 450tq but has since added 5 more degrees of timing and a larger intercooler and he says it runs a hell of alot better he is probably closer to 500hp now. His truck runs damn good.

I am against the Meth Injection....not very street friendly IMO......What do you do when you run out?? I think the cam and a good tune will get you where you want to be.

I totally agree with the cam, and tune, but the meth would be a track only system.

meth is really easy and IMO our trucks tuning capabilities are perfect for it since we have high and low octane tables. The kits are very easy to install and you can put low level indicators in if you are really worried about it. If you run out "I have the small container and one tank lasts me 2 weeks" and dont realize it you will just be thrown into the low octane table which could be your base level amount of timing without meth. My concern would be having to inject it before the blower on the Radix system. Im not sure how great meth would be on the rotors. Meth gives you the ability to run alot more timing and make quite a bit more power.
Id go with a cam, meth, smaller pulley, and some tuning.

Will meth hurt the rotors?
