Prob bout 7-8 hours, if your good, maybe faster, if not maybe longer, I personally have never done one in a truck, they have always been on the stand...

ive never done any internal motor work on any domestic type vehicle... so probably gonna take me like 12-16 hours lol

ya def look at the site...when me and my friend did my truck we took his laptop in the shop with us and went step by step...worked on it after work and took us about 10 hours id say...but made she it was all good and she fired right away...i had a lot of fun doing it and cant wait to put the cam in his truck now!

You guys think that throwing in some fresh roller lifters, for that new camshaft isn't very important? I do realize that the lifters are virtually the same from perf. ones, but wouldn't it be some more insurance on those new bigger more aggressive cam lobes to just get gm ls7 ones for $8? a piece, and have a stock new roller wheel surface to plant on you cam? What do you guys think?
Of course this means the heads must come off, so you need head gaskets and bolts. Another question, is everyone replacing the head bolts upon head reinstall as recommended, or are we getting away without it? I replaced mine when i tore down, but was wondering.
