When dexcool is used in a non sealed system, and comes in contact with air, it turns acidic and eats away at aluminum.

If it were me, I'd use distilled water and water wetter in that system. And like 30-40 percent regular green antifreeze if it get's cold where you're at.

Saw you're in San Diego, definately go with water/water wetter only.
