Big tube, short design like the LaPoles. Under $600, mid-lengths.

The Lapoles are nice, just wondering if they have a 3" collector.
I'd like to keep the system 3" all the way back to the muffler.
I've emailed him several times, no response beyond his initial.

thoughts?

Send a pm over to 99SilveradoSS. He has or had the LaPole headers, so possibly he might know.

There are a few other mid-length brands, if those don't work. Maybe BT will have some input, but a rule of thumb is:

Long and Skinny runners = low end
Short and Fat runners = high end

And once that thing starts turning rpm with the boost, you are goin' to want to let the exhaust escape quickly. A free-flowing exhaust will definetly benefit your combo.

For you guys who are interested in the GT2-3. Heres one guys thoughts on his GT2-3.

got a LPE GT2-3 Cam and it idles better than a stock cam.
So that goes along well with what BT mentioned.

Taking a stab at it, your recommending 1 3/4 or 1 7/8 primaries into a 3" Collector in a Mid Lenth configuration?

I like the TOG headers a lot. They are very nice and you wouldn't find a better quality header. I would get them ceramic coated before they went on though.

I just thought about bigguy .. he had a 218/224 in his 6.0. I think he was shifting at 6300 and said it was about right. I can't remember, but I think he was saying it didn't have much lope at all. If it were me ... I'd be watching the classifieds for one of those.

2tone mentioned something about you were changing rockers ... leave them stock. The stock ones really are the best ones out.
