thanks for the suggestion, couple of things, HD's don't have a Y pipe, straight duals to the muffler.
Got the free flowing muffler on there, a Magnaflow 22" Case
1 3/4 Mid Lengths sounds good!
Question
How much overlap is there on that Cam?
thanks again!

Thanks SportSide, appreciate the calculations. I'll add that to my list, that makes 4 total, maybe 5.

What do you think of Thunder Racings "Old Man Truck Cam"? Looks interesting......
99-214/220-115+2 Thunder Racing Custom "Old Man Truck" Camshaft - 214/220 .600/.525 115+2 LSA This is the perfect cam for someone looking for a stock range power band and stock sounding idle. Significant horsepower gains throughout the RPM range. No computer tuning required.

Hey Brian (BlownChevy), do me a favor? Run my Cam question by Mr. Magnuson, thanks duddets!

FINALLY!!! picked a Cam.

Comp Cams .581/.581 220/224 XER lobes on a 115 LSA, -8* overlap. This cam should provide me with good idle characteristics and a very healthy midrange due to the XER lobe with plenty up top, and still pass smog. I believe this Cam will pull to 6200rpm. It will also be boost friendly due to the -8* overlap

Thanks for all the help and advice folks......cheers!

Thoughts?

You should definetly do a before and after dyno.

I'd like to see what a cam that sized does to the rpm-range, not just power.

On a n-a application, you'd see a strong 6200-rpm pull.
