Angry Radio Problems

Here is my situation: I start the truck and the radio is usually on. I will drive a little and then the darn thing shuts off and then on again and continues to do this until I take the face off the radio. It will stop for a while but then it will do this again after a short time. It started doing this Saturday but I didn't think much of it because it only did it once that day. Now it has been doing this everyday after I get out of work since and does this more often. I do have an aftermarket radio installed in my truck. I was wondering if anybody might have an idea what my problem might be or experience the same thing that I have discribed? Thanks!

If it is a bad ground, where would I check for that? Meaning, would I have to pull the radio out and find the ground wire or is there another way?

He said it sounds like a bad connection. Check your wires!
if you have an amp hooked up to the radio to check the ground

I don't have an amp but my radio has pre-amps. Could those cause a bad connection?

Yeah, definately check the red, yellow, and black wires like keuka said. I have been installing radios for 3 or 4 years now and am studying for MECP certified installer and that's the only cause I have ever seen for a radio to turn off like that.
