Default Radiator drain problem ?

I hate to be a retard on the subject but could someone please tell me exactly where the drain valve for the radiator is at on a newer body style (2005) Silverado is? I think I read somewhere that it was on the passanger side but I must be blind because I don't see it. I am wanting to replace the thermostat and have looked every place I can think of. Is it hidden behind some plastic or something? Last time I put a thermostat in on my 05 Avalanche I had to drop the lower hose off (damn what a mess that makes in the garage)! If someone can give me a good description where it's at, it would save another messy garage floor. Thanks!!

Newer trucks don't have drains.

Yep. I forgot to put a drain in mine last time I had it out. I got sick of trying to catch it and make a mess so I just roll it outside and make an "attempt" at catching some of it. The garden hose takes care of the rest. The way I look at it is it's GM's fault if it impacts the environment. They saved $.50 a truck though
