i had a shop weld in 3 inch from the flange back and put on a 24 inch long 5x8 magnaflow and just a turndown on my rcsb and it is really quiet. It idles just as quiet as stock with no drone at any rpm and its pretty mellow even at wot, more engine noise than exhaust note.

of all of the exhaust setups ive tried...the quietest (inside of the cab) drone free setup so far is corsa...with and with out longtubes. with and wihout converters. its the only truely drone free muffler that ive tried. \

on the other hand i thing corsa is extreemly overpriced. atleast it was when i gto it.

I am leaning toward either a magnaflow exhaust or the GMPP exhaust. What about Gibson exhaust? Do their mufflers flow well? Are they a straight through design as well? Thanks again guys for all your imput!

I'm not sure how well the Gibson mufflers flow, but the stainless ones hold up well. I've had mine on my truck for over 8 years now. It was pretty quiet until I removed the tail pipes and dumped it before the axle. From what I've heard, Gibson used to be owned by Magnaflow, so I'm assuming that some of the same technology goes into their mufflers.

i love my setup.. pacesetter long tubes... ORY... electric cut-out and stock muffler... tailpipe cut off after it goes over axle.... sounds good through stock muffler... still quiet.... but you can tell it aint stock....

best of both worlds... loud as hell or quiet as stock....

thats my current goal, get a cutout for the track and get a quiet muffler for the street. I just need a quiet, light muffler. That stock bastard weighs a ton!!
