Default Quieter Muffler

Last week I put on my PaceSetters and ORY, and now with my SIDO 40 series Flowmaster doesnt sound very good to me, too raspy and a little on the loud side. I'm not wanting to spend a lot of money on a muffler, and i kinda need a SIDO because i really like the way my exhaust is ran. Any ideas on a different muffler? I don't want it quiet, if it sounded better i wouldn't mind, but this thing kinda sounds like ***.

One word about magnaflows, is that when you first install them they are pretty quiet, after about 1 month they get louder.... Speaking frome experience I have had 2 different magnaflow setups.

I haven't towed with it yet so i don't know what it sounds like under heavy load.

I was told the raspiness is from the LTs and ORY with no cats. A muffler wont help the raspiness, if I'm correct it might reduce drone in the cab but not raspiness.

A tune helps with the raspiness... From what I have read the raspiness comes from the exhaust pulse interacting with each other basically hitting a harmonic (velocity and tube diameter etc...) to eliminate it you need to disrupt the airflow or make the exhaust pulses (each side of the motor) cancel each other out (X-Pipe, Merge pipes, baffled mufflers, etc), basically what the CATs did before they were removed.....

Correct, the raspiness comes for the lack of cats but is also elevated with the Pacesetters because the gauge of the metal used is thinner than other LT's. I've heard the SW and Dynatechs w/o cats and in both cases the raspiness wasn't as prevalent as my Pacesetters.

Thats sort of what I figured.. IMO I LOVE the way it sounds raspy, but I guess most people don't.
