When you change your intake or take it off, do you need to change your oil and coolant?

shouldnt be oil running through your intake...

Would it be a good idea to change oil because some dust/crap may fall into the block?

You can just to be safe but its not a requirement. I would because I baby my truck but thats just me.

I've taken mine off and been around when a friend or two pulled his intake...never changed the oil because of it though.

Yeah, I am over 2.5k miles on this oil anyway...so I'll just go ahead and change it.

But according to GM, you are supposed to go until you oil life monitor says it needs changing. which can be anywhere from 5 to 9k miles...
