Default Quick question about 220r cam

Planning on a TSP220r cam for my 06 RCSB, 4.8. I have 4.10s, longtubes, BB tune currently installed, and a Circle D 3200 awaiting installation next weekend. Now I know the cam is on the larger side for a 4.8, but as far as torque is concerned, will I produce LESS torque then I am making currently with a stock cam, or will it just make very little more over stock? Thanks!

It will make less torque at lower rpms than stock but will make more in the higher rpms.

Exactly. You will lose torque down low. The converter will help to absorb some of that though. I would put it on a 112 LSA and that should keep the power coming in a bit sooner.

Otherwise, let us spec you a grind that will work better for that 4.8L.
