Stock engine and turbo, trans work, stacked tuners, nitrous and propane, IIRC. Another Dmax recently ran 11.48 as well. When you consider how much these trucks weigh (~6500 for his), it's REALLY impressive. About 700-750RWHP.

Yeah I decided the next truck I am buying is gonna be a Duramax. But I am gonna wait for 3 years. I have seen some RCLB and thats probley what I am gonna get. I too want to take it to the MAX, double stack chips, exhaust, intake, propane and nitrous. It is absoultly mindboggling to watch a 7000 pound truck move like that. AWESMOME

I want to know what kind of tires he's launching on ??....they look like 32" tall street rubber but the way they stick I'm wondering if they aren't a slick of some kind

It's a secret. My guess is 28"-30" drag tires. It's not the traction, it's the weight. You can cut 1.8's on Duramax on the OEM tires. I've done 1.91 with half the HP that guy has on OEM's.

Unlike normal street cars or 2WD pickups, a DMax has HUGE weight on the front tires, about 4000lb in my truck. Any tire with 2000 on it will stick.

The first gear is very low, and you run 3.73's and stall it to 2500-3000. It's equivalent to stalling an LS1 to 5000-6000, since the Duramax makes peak power at 3000.

Dang that is pretty sick. I too am considering in the future some time a duramax especially with the chips that they are coming out with, like those three stage chips and stuff. You need tow, don't mess with anything, you need to smoke a rice burner turn it up one notch, you want to keep up with a vette then turn it up all the way, Not to metion you can run over whatever you want!!!
