Default quick cut outs q

would there be much of a performance difference between having cut outs pre cat (so you'd need 2 cut outs) or just one cut out post cats but before the muffler (need only one cut out)

if you put the cutouts before cats your going to get a ses light and run very rich, unless you have the rear 02's turned off.

I think that I you have a big enough exhaust diameter the whole way back (ie 3.5"-4") then there is no need to have the cutout. That is what I plan on running and shoudl make well over 700rwhp doing it.

Well i just installed a DMH cutout on my silvy. No joke, before the cutout, i ran a 15.8. with the cutout open, i now run a 15.50. I have the slips to prove it. Before i had just one pipe going into a 50 series flowmaster. now i have the cutout right after the collector, bypassing the 7' of pipe and the muffler.

I am extremely satisfied with mine. they dont leak either. Stay away from qtp!!!

Speaking of cutouts, now that i have one, should i have my truck retuned?

I can vouch for that. Mine's about 1/8" away from sealing, and it sounds like

I have dual manual 3" cutouts right at my collectors and I love them... I also have all 3' pipe in y system so its not bad either way, but on the dyno it got me 12hp/15tq over closed exhaust... I dont have cats... the cutouts are right after the collectors on my pacesetters.

well I run 2/10's and 3mph better with my cutouts, but this is my setup and not everyone elses, Every truck acts different to each mod. Good luck.
