Are they supposed to rattle inside when u tap them with a hammer?

I didnt think so, thanks! to gut them do i just cut them off and cramm all the stuff out the weld them back on?

Yep, take a long-handled screwdriver or something and pound away, eventually you'll be able to break out all the stuff inside.
