what can those pups handle power whise and etc??? what kinda warnty comes with his stuff???

Thats without the core charge. I am not sure what there supposed to handle HP wise. Seems like alot of people have been tearing them up though but FLP does stand by there work.

 

I must have missed the reports on the 4L65E failures.
It's supposed to be hands down much better than the 4L60E. A 5 planetary gear set, a thicker bell housing,better shell and thrust bearings to name just a few.
I was thinking the 4L65E was to be the answer to loosing the HP going to the 80. The 80 is strong but costs a few pony's.

FLP failures are not as common as you're letting on. My FLP 4L65E has survived my 422 and 427 engines. There are still no signs of it slipping at all. Very satisfied customer here.

 

I've been researching transmissions and failures for a couple of months now before I bought mine. And yes, I've read quite a few failures. But this isn't just on the FLP, this is on ANYONE that has a built 4L65 and is putting out some serious HP/TQ. Yep, mine blew the 5-gear planetary after 3 days.

I've heard some bad stories about "Brand A" and "Brand B" and ended up going with a local place that builds them. Are they any better or any worse? Who knows... But I've learned from a lot from reading and talking to people that it's a matter of WHEN it will break not IF it will brake. And the key point here is because its a local shop, I don't pay a dime for shipping, or uninstalling/reinstalling the trans. If you buy one out of state and it blows, you'll have to pay to have it uninstalled or do it yourself; then pay for shipping back to the company; shipping back to you; then the cost to reinstall the trans or installing it back in yourself. And this is if they have great customer service and will fully warranty everything.

Hopefully this at least helps a bit on what I've found out through research.
