Default Questions about my truck and running some dyno pulls.

My truck is lifted 6" and I have 35" tires. Will I need to get stocker tires for the runs? Can I leave my speedo set to 35's while running the dyno or does the dyno read the speed from the drum itslef? Has anyone with a 4x4 or lifted truck ever ran a dyno run?

You can run 35's on a dyno, seen it done plenty of times. The numbers will be lower though. A heavy, large diameter tire takes more power to turn the drums. It would be cool if you could do a couple of runs with the 35's then make a couple runs on stock size tires to see what the difference would be.

You might call the dyno shop and ask how they feel about running a non-speed rated tire on the dyno. It would suck bad if a tire failed.
