Default Questions about 1.85 roller rockers

They are made by SLP. I don't really know anything about them. Could I use them with:

212/218 Comp Cam
941 Comp Springs

Would I have any gain if I got them? Would I have to get different length pushrods? Thanks in advance!

I think our rocker arms are 1.7 or 1.8 so and time you go up a size like a 1.5 to a 1.6 i have heard you gain about .30 on your lift. It will change the way your cam works. It is like putting in a bigger cam. just my $.02. I am sure there will be some people come in here and say i am wrong though......... <img border="0" alt="[angel]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_angel.gif" />

Compcams makes a fully rollerized 1.85 rocker and can tell you which cam and springs to use with it.I would give them a call.

Rockers will make your cam act bigger. Stock ratio is 1.7:1, so thats about a 10% increase on cam lobe events. The normal lift of .529 will end up .577 after the rockers. You will need larger springs than the 941 - go with the 918s.

Think this through: You buy a cam $400 and springs $150 then install $500 rockers to go with it. If the rockers are making your cam act bigger, why not buy a larger cam in the first place? Get a nice custom ground cam on XE lobes and be done with it.

Save the money for the rockers, just get the right cam.
