At what speed does your automatic tranny shift out of second and into third and what rear end do you have?

 

I've got 4:10 gears, but that all depends on if I hard on it or not...if I'm on it hard it ***** at about 55 mph, if not somewhere around 35-40

 

yeah let me rephrase that...

at wide-open throttle, where does your 4.8/auto truck shift out of second gear?

 

around 75 to 80 if im at wot

 

yeah I'm sorry about that, I fat fingered, mines at wide open is around 75

 

mine shifts at about 75 as well. but so does everyone elses.

 

Depending on the mods...... stock it will shift @ about 75 mph. With HPP3 with setting of +11-12 it will shift at about 85-86.
Saint Anger, did the dodge boys sent you find this out? Still analysing 4.8 vr. Hemi video?...

 

Yep...I shift 2-3 at just under 80...I finish the 1/4 at 88MPH...
That video was of my truck...if you watch closely...I let off just after I shifted into 3rd...that's why the HEMI is only 1 truck length behind me...he was still WOT after I let off...otherwise he'd be farther away

 

no, they didnt send me, but i came for that reason ...just wondering if the guy that said they shift ~70mph was in the ballpark

i was actually thinking about getting a chev when i got my truck...but i happened to work at a dealership that gave me a 33k truck for invoice price (27k) plus TTL (back to 30k), not to mention that 7/70 warranty (that im sure i'll need)...and what sounds better than 345 hp? (answer: 346+ hp)

i'm not here to flame anyone or otherwise start a bunch of trashtalking...and so i would appreciate you guys showing me the same respect i'll show you

care to give me the specs on the hemi you raced? im not going to bash you about it or go tell the other dodgetrucks.com guys, just wondering what it was
