Default Question on Slicks

What size slicks are people running on there setups
what are a good set of slicks to run with our truck ?
I have a chance to buy some Hoosiers slicks 28x10x16"
are they too small will they be ok with my 3:42 gears ?
I gotta get this thing to the track soon <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

I don't think there are a whole lot of options for a 16" rim unless you want to go with like a 35*22.5 - 16. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" />

Then you could change your name to GMC STEAMROLLER <img border="0" title="" alt="[Razz]" src="gr_tounge.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

I was hoping to find a 30" slick for a 16" rim but I don't think one is made. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Sad]" src="gr_sad.gif" />

Maybe somebody else knows.

John

are you talking about DOT slicks? if so then most people are just running the 26x 10.5 or 11.5 x 16" ET streets by mickey thompson. definatley proven to work!

As far a FULL slick goes I have some Hoosier 28x10.50x16's in mind... The MT ET street 26x11.50x16's aren't bad but I need more contact patch and a tad less gear for the new motor combo. The taller 28" tire works for me on both ways.
