Default Question about oil pressure and first start up???

I will hopefully be starting the engine in my drag truck this weekend and am curious about the oil pressure. Is it worth the time to rig up a prelube before I start the engine (LQ9 that has not ran since 2008) or is it safe to dump oil in it and fire it. Keep in mind that it has a new hi-vol pump in it with a fresh cam. Just curious before I kill a night rigging up a pump and lines to prelube it..

Ensure oil and filter are in, pull the plugs, turn ot over with a rachet at the crank to ensure you have oil coatings everywhere (you will not see any pressure on the gage).
Start it and let it idle. The pressure will build and it will be fine.
I had the same worry with a 5.3 that sat for 7 years... no issues
