Default question about 2" rear drop shackles

im gonna buy a set of these after i get back up to dallas so i have a few questions.

since its in the rear will i still need a front end alignment?

i found a set of ground force 2" rear drop shackles at truckperformance.com one set was 45, the other was 70, the difference was one was for models w/ a carrier berring and the other wasnt. which one would be mine?

also, would just shackles effect ride quality in any way?

sorry for all the questions but i havent really looked into this before.

thanks in advance,
bryan

No ride difference, just a level truck. The carrier bearings are on the extended cabs.

Try here Aim Industries They have about the best prices. I have a set w/ zerks on mine along with hangers for a 4" drop. Just remember to get pinion shims or your truck will vibrate at 1500 to 2000 rpm. They are easy to install. I have had a couple of problems with them getting the order right though. But they did fix the problems at their expense.

None that I know of , I have an ext cab and mine are just fine. Matter of fact I did my Step-dads truck with just 2" shackles w/zerks and shims. It's a 2000 Silverado ext cab too.

I got mine from www.stylinconcepts.com for 30 bucks and they are DJMs which are a little better quality than the AIM from what I hear. I also have a reg cab so the ext kit may be a little more.

brian make sure you get them with urethane bushings. it costs a little more but your truck will handle a little bit better too.
