Well, im about to pickup a 5.3 fairly cheap to build up. Im going to bore it out, do the heads, nice cam, upgrade tranny and get a wheatly tune. If i have money left over, ill get rid of my shorty headers and upgrade to long tubes.

What i would like to know, what should i do for injectors? if we were talking diesel, i would know, but with these engines im at a total loss.

You'd probably do fine with a set of 42#/hr marine injectors. They should be direct drop-in replacements. Only thing you'd have to change is the tune.

 

Thanks. I plan to build this engine, then order my Wheatly Tune when I'm done with it. Once I have the tune, then it will go in the truck.
