Default put a custom touch to my CAI (pics)

the custom touch is ugly but functional. the design of the upd tube was restrictive because it was made to work with the fan shroud. i always wandered what would happen if it was designed better, but never had a reason to jack with it. i cracked the tube so i got to build a new one.

UPD intake lid
4" tubing all the way to the throttle body
Volant ram air
shaners ported and polished throttle body

it looks like it would flow way better, but it probably wont make any difference

heres some before and after pics(yes i know its funky...pollen got the best of me this year)

As I was reading your post, I knew you were going to do that. I am thinming of using some mandrel bent U pipe and kind of shaping it like a question mark ( ? ). This would route towards the front and turn around to enter the throttle body much straighter. Should flow good. Good idea otherwise.

Hey, where did you get those extra engine (coil pack) covers from (what model or part number)? Those look nice and I like how they cover the uglyness of the engine.
