That makes sense because the stock gears and chain are rather loose.

THe double roller I'm using is not. It's very tight infact. There will be no slop in it for some time.

Luck has EVERYTHING to do with it homie. I have a little one on the way a motor to get together, no where to drop it in the truck and no where to get the tranny in once it gets back from the only sucker that was willing to weld the bellhousing back up.

I hope its going to be a monster once it is running though. If nothing else, maybe it'll sound that way with the monster cam.

Did I mention I'll be running stock heads for now?

if it has 4 deg ground in then I wouldn't advance it anymore unless you have a way of determining what that would do to your power-band.

What did the cam degree in at?

WHen they degreed it, it was setup retarded 4* which would make it 248/254 114 (no +4).

The big question is ... do I leave it like that or advance it 4 degrees? After looking at DynoSim 2k and what it does for the advance of the cam, I think I'm going to leave it like it is. My biggest concern was if it was going to cause any P-V clearance issue.
