Default Proper Motor Break In?

I have been wandering through posts and started to notice people talking about what they will do "after" their break in period. Ok. I bought an 05 Silverado 5.3 RCSB a couple months back. It now has around 3,500 on it. I changed the oil around 3,200 (Regular Valvoline). I have not been racing the truck or anything. But it has seen all the way to that 6 a few times on the ol' tach. Am I hurting my engine? Whats your opinion on "Break In" How many miles, How to drive? Also...how about some oil opinions. Thanks.

you should be fine. You may want to think about changing your rear diff fluid with the gears breaking in as well. If it's 4wd, change both front and rear diffs.
