Call and talk to Johan, tell him what you have and what you expect from it, send in the tune in it( email ), he send you one back to see if it's better. He can get the job done for ya.
Mine runs sweeeeet.
The problem with the predators is it do what you want, you got to know how to get it do that. The hppIII's just give you whats in it and thats it. Hp tuners and edit are for the serious users and thats a good thing.

OK. I'll chime in here again but in deep detail.
I have a 2003 Z71 RCSB W\5.3. See signature.
I purchased a Diablo Predator only because I did not know of the Nelson Tune.
Upon installing the predator tune the truck seemed to be a tad stronger. It shifted great. I increased the line pressure and the adaptation or speed of the shift to my tastes. I loved increasing the speed limiter to 125.
After a few months I took the tune out so I could make a long trip on regular gas. I noticed the truck was not as strong and all the GM shift problems were back. I put the tune back in and it did seem to be better. But as the first time, nothing to write home about.
My problems with the predator.
First, the manual was wrong. The fuse it told me to take out to dissable onstar was incorrect. I had to call them.
Second, I took the tune in and out for various reasons a few times and twice, although it said the tune was successful, the speed limiter did not take. A reload fixed that. I did have error loading prompts a couple of times but it may have been that my cell phone was on. None of these things seemed to be a big deal with me. On the speed limiter screen there are 3 different type of limiters to work on for different type of throttle systems I guess. I had to bump all of them up to make mine work.
Then I hear about the Nelson Tune and how much better it is than the Hypertech and Predator. I could not stand it.
First, the 30 day money back no questions asked helped me step towards it.
Second, the fact that if I mod the truck he will tweak the tune. All for just shipping charges. For as long as he is in the business.
Ok. The Nelson tune really made a much bigger difference in power than the predator. My fuel mileage increased as well. What was really nice is how I used the Predators live diagnostics to record what was going on. I called Allen Nelson with the numbers and he shipped me another tune to get me spot on. The motor really runs out much stronger. I had him do the 93 octane tune and remove 80% of the torque management. I had 50% removed on the first tune. The 80% is much better.
