Default the problems keep coming

alright, i purchased a set of flexalite fans, and they are suppose to fit the 34" x 17" radiators. i took a tape and my radiator mesaured 34 inches from end to end, when i get my flexalite close, it seems too big, was i suppose to just measure teh core length and not the overall length? i guess my question is, is teh fan suppose to seal on the core, or on the end tanks?

the fan seals only on the core itself. it should fit perfectly between the end tanks.

The sizes quoted for e-fans are for the core dimensions. The 34" core rads are on the larger trucks, 6.0L, HD, etc. I think yours is a 28-29" core. My 34" core rad measures about 40" including the tanks. I think you should have 2 sets of mounting holes on your upper radiator frame rail where it bolts on. The wider set of holes would be for the larger radiator. A 34" rad from any of the recent model GM trucks should fit.

I did the same darn thing! Ended up getting a bigger radiator. Glad I did. The 6.0's going to need it.

The bigger radiator measure 34" across on the core. You can either get the bigger radiator or the smaller fans. If your planning on running a cooler thermo, you should get the radiator. The smaller radiator won't keep it cool in the summer or sitting there idling.

I'm planning on being at the track this weekend. Friday night for Midnight Madness I think. What you think ... ?

man that sounds like fun, but money is tight at the moment, and id rather use that 15 bucks twards my truck and a bigger radiator at the moment. hey flyer, i know you are in the process of moving, but could you take a pic of that radiator so i can see how it installs, and measure how wide it is overall? thanks also, where did you get your radiator?
