why not switch to the later sensors mounted in the block somehow ?

 

just change the bolts from the valley cover and the coolant line and it will fit just fine. the intake should of came with new valley cover bolts, mine did.

 

this is what i was going to suggest, i believe all fast intakes require different bolts for the valley cover.

 

yeah they do, mine came with the new bolts. i don't know why that poor guy got his with out the bolts. he should just call and ask for them or just get them at a local parts store

 

I did change the bolts, I put the ones that came with the manifold . I think they called buttonhead bolts, you have to tighten them with an allen wrench. But the heads were milled .050. They didn't think about people modifying the engine before buying the manifold. They figure it to fit on a stock application. That's what the guy from the tech line said.

 

thats sucks i got my heads milled.050 as well hopefully i dont run in to problems , i feel for u man.

 

being milled .050 and if you was to get it to seat, i hope it doesnrt have fitment problems that would really suck..

 

You could probably use a set of spacers such as what Moregrip had for sale the other day, which would space the intake up and keep you from having to grind into your brand new expensive intake manifold. I believe he said he picked them up from Magnacharger.

 

this is JUST a guess! but what about taking the wires and running them towards the intake ports on the heads. like run the wires between the head and the valley cover, there should be enough gap to run that there. like i said im just guessing, ive never milled a head that far.

 

Thanks 1Bear, That looks like it might help, it might raise the manifold a little, I was also thinking of having the valley plate milled .050. Also on the heads that I have there is a lip on the intake side under where the valve cover sits, i had to have that milled the same as the heads.
It's mostly on the bottom that I have fitment problems.
