This is verbatim off Eaton's website..

"What type of lubricant and limited slip additive should I use with my newly purchased Eaton Limited Slip Differential?

Eaton strongly recommends utilizing an API-GL5 approved Mineral-Based 80W-90 Axle Lubricant and one 4-oz bottle of Limited Slip Additive (GM or Ford)."

I think I was quoted around 500 for the rear if I provide ALL parts, bearings and all. WHen I asked about my z71, it was 500 per axle.

Anyone I have talked to about getting a differential replaced says take it to these same people who quoted me a new *******.

I think I only paid $100 to get my eaton installed. Now I need to replace both rear tires!

Something I've noticed among all of these quotes, high and low is that nobody has said whether the install price was invoiced along with the system purchased. Or was the system dropped in the installers lap and then asked to quote the assembly.

I offer a good price on installs when purchased directly from us, but customer parts always get quoted a little higher. That's just marketing. $250-300.00 Labor on client install or $150.00 when purchased with a charger.

I asked about if I bought parts from him. He was going to charge me about 1300 installed for everything. That would be $700 for parts, when I can get them on eBay for about 500.

This same guy I tried to get him to talk to MagnaCharger about installing my blower so I could have gotten the powertrain warranty, but he drug his feet on it for the longest and I ended up doing it myself.
