predator tuning for mostly stock truck
#1
ok, i have predator coming in a few days. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on how i should tune my truck with it. yes i know, it will probably take me a few times to get it right for my truck, but here is what i have so far, free mods, flowmaster cat back, k&n fipk, ngk's, and i think that is it. so there ya go, not much in the performance department. Cam, is an option down the road but for now it is the stocker. headers are the same. I want to firm up the shift points, get more power, and improve the overall get up and go!
i have a 5.3, 4l60e, ecsb. oh yea its an 01. thanks in advance for the help.

No problem, just set your 1 to 2 shift at 5800rpms, 2 to 3 at 5700rpms, shift firmness +25, shift speed -25. Speed limiter to 125 max, leave the rest alone, and make sure you use at least 91 octane. Messing with the shift speeds is not necessary, or is messing with the rev limiter are well above what you would want with a stock truck!

ok, cool. i have been trying to read up on what i can do and what i can't do, but it seems like everyone is already ahead of me in the aftermarket game. i am probably early for tuning but hey, why not go ahead and do it and enjoy it right. i do run 93 octane so that isn't a prob.
