Default PRC stg2.5 5.3 heads

Who is running Prc stg 2.5 5.3 heads on there 5.3's? I just bought a set and I'll be getting the put on soon. I just wanna know what you guys think of them. What you like and what you don't like? A guy in town said that he has put 3 different sets of ls6 Prc heads on firebird and camaros, and he was saying that the way they were ported, caused then engines to fail? So can anyone with them on any size engine chim in, thanks

Id say its installer error if all thre failed that he put them on. MANY people have used those heads without a problem. I wouldnt hesitate to put a set on my truck. Hell I had two sets sitting ont he shelf at one point in time but sold them in order to fund buying a blower.

I would think that maybe that's what it was, but this guy has been around ls motors a while. I'm not saying that it's his fault or not. He has built a lot of fast corvettes and f bodies. He is one of the most go-to guys in AZ. so if it was installer error, and not that the heads were ported to where the valve seats would fail, then what would be the error in th install?

Ask him what head to use, and I bet he sells you a head that he can mark up to you. I did a lot of research, and found them to be the best bang for the buck out there. I was wondering if the runner would be too big for a 5.3, but I really like them.

He doesn't sell product, just installations and tuning. It seems that no ones has any negative things to say about them, that's why I bought them. But I wanted to double check just so I wasn't pissing in the wind.

I'm going to he them cleaned up. Then throw them on and go from there. If anything happens to the 5.3, then I'll find a 6.0
