Ported and polished 5.3L heads

If you are doing a blower, raised CR is not a good thing. You would want the bigger combustion chamber to lower your CR so you can crank up the boost.
Anyone know off hand what a set of LS1 heads would do for your CR on a stock internal 5.3?

the texas speed heads are really Patriot Performance heads that they sell. LS6/LQ9 heads are sweet, and typically outflow LS1/LM7 heads 20+cfm, but they are ALWAYS more expensive. i am going with ported LQ9 heads with 2.02/1.60 valves with REV double springs and ti retainers with 7.35" pushrods and a new cam. these heads will go on a 6.0 but will be milled a bit to bring up compression since i'm not gonna be in the boosted crowd and the loss in low end is so minor that it wont be a big deal with a 150-200 shot helping out, not to mention my truck isn't very heavy.

I got my stock heads done, and I think it was the biggest bang for the buck Ive done yet. Short of NOS. To have the heads milled was $50 per head and the porting was @ $150 per head. I did the install work and all myself and saved alot that way. I dont know exactly how much HP just the heads made, but stock it dynoed at 259.6 and with the mods N/A it dynoed at 323. The 323 I was using 108 octane with a methanol/ alcohol mixture. Higher compression responds well to good octane.
