Ya i just got back from orielly's the intake gasket they wanted to sell me was really odd... It was metal with rubber... They had some special bent peices that are made to go under the damn head bolts... I said screw that, went to autozone and got a set ordered...

This is the one he tried to sell me, description is "Intake manifold gasket set", which included EGR crap...

this is the one i wanted, just the gasket.... but he said the one above was the only thing he could find... I was frustrated cause i just say it online... so i just walked out...

I used loctite retaining compound that is used to hold diesel injector sleeves in place and seal them from combustion and water leaks. I have some brand new if you want some freebie. I dont have any leaks. plus the rocker bolt will not back out. kind of a locker and sealer compound. text me if you want me to bring some home.

oh, and the nnbs, and nbs intake gaskets are the same, I used the ones for my 06' and they worked fine. I would reorder the felpro's.

I've heard of guys using blue loctite, and I'm surprised that they got away with it, since it is actually a thread locker, and not a thread sealer, but I guess if it plugs the hole it will work. I'd use RTV though...

ive used those metal/rubber intake gaskets before and they work great. The extra tabs are there so you and lay the gaskets on the heads and then bolt the intake. Ive never had and issue with both but to each his own..goodluck with your fix

I used thread sealant on the base of the bolt, and then blue loctite higher up. It was a real freaking PITA, but it works. Don't be a dummy like me and get all the bolts in, torqued down to spec, and then realize you forgot the rocker stand!!!

These gaskets work great and line up perfect. I have used them a few times. The tabs go over the bolts not under.
