Hey guys i would like to get some feed back on some ported heads.

I have found some LS2 ported heads and some LS6 ported heads. Is there going to be a big diffrence in power from the LS2 or LS6 ported heads?

And one other ? I have a 2003 5.3l vortec so i think that is the lm7 i think.... would i get alot out of just porting my stock lm7 heads?

This is my DD. and i pull almost 200 miles every weekend. so the one that would be better for pulling would be what i would want.

You will lose power with both. You need to get a 5.3 casting. Patriot , texas spped and west coast all sell thier versions p&p for the 5.3

the heads wont give you much of anything without an aftermarket cam with increased valve lift.

 

So how about a ls6 cam with ls6 p&p head?

 

You will want to the chamber size of a 5.3 head, the ls6 is more CC's you will lose comp.. A ls6 cam with a nice set of worked 5.3 heads will be nice

 

sweet ill look in to that. thanks guys i know more about sport atv and dirt bike motors i have done a bunch of work to them. so im kind of new to this stuff lol
