Default Port stock MAF?

I may get a stock MAF to go porting on and well would there be any adverse side effects to doing this? Anyone done this/seen it done?

Thanks!

I descreened my stock maf and it worked great initially but over time, my truck got slower. I've been told that it leans out stock mafs, I assume porting would too. I think Granatelli also changes the electonics so the computer can handle the extra air flow and adjust the fuel mix accordingly.

I tried to port mine a long time ago and I got an SES light and no real gains. Not to mention it was a pain to do since they dont come apart like those on an Fbody lol

Ah screw it. I thought it would be okay and could be compensated for via the Edit. I am just lost on what to do next is all.

Thanks for the replies.
