yup do a search for portrd throttle body in this fourm there is a how to and a picture. I did mine today and it was well worth it, hard to tell if there is any gains but the throttle response is much greater. Good luck!!

Ported throttlebodies are good if you are running a cable.Don't use one on a drive by wire setup.Iam speaking from experience.

In my opinion, it's not worth it unless you are making other changes as well. Ie: cam, heads, aftermarket intake, or FI.

I am sure the reason is due to the trottle being much more sensative but does anyone know if you can slow the throttle response down by tunning? I am wanting to do this but am worried about the throttle response.

After installing a ported throttlebody on my stock motor w/ bolt ons, the throttle response inbetween 1%-40% increased dramatically. I noticed a huge gain. Definetly a worth while mod if you do a lot of street driving. Now, this may depend on who does your throttle body. I've heard some only gaining "top end" power. Just like porting anything, I'm sure there is quite a bit of technique that goes into the porting. The where, how much, exc.
Good luck.
