Default Port & Polish

Hey, I am getting a 2001 Silverado 5.3 in a month or so. I still have other cars that I can drive so I want to do some headwork. Does anyone have some usefull tips? Will I need bigger injectors or a tune afterwards? Thanks

no you won't need a tune or bigger injectors afterwards. however, when you play with the ls heads you really need to know what you are doing! easy to mess up. this is something that most people should pay the money to get done.

I've seen cross sectional cuts of LS heads and there are some very thin areas between the ports and cooling passages. If you aren't careful, you could ruin an set of heads real quick.

I'd recommend a tune afterwards.
