All these wires will work with any header. It's just that the MSD's have better boots on them than the Taylors. I prefer Taylors's but can't run them due to one of the boot's being to fat and over time burning up on the header. I'll see if I can find that picture.

Here you go. This boot was close to the header and got very brittle due to heat. That's why it cracked. They also had about 35k on them running next to the header. Taylor 8mm

I am using the 9mm premade set from JBA. I also use the stock boot shield and have the JBA Headers. I have no problems yet.

I'm running the taylor Thunder volts with the ASM lt's and so far so good.
Are yours closer than mine? Mine seem to be fine.

Wow I didn't realize what a big difference the square and round coil packs make. My 5.3 had the round ones, and my MSD wires had a ton of slack in them allowing me plenty of clearance from the headers.

yay i kept feeling a wierd miss. i started by looking at the plugs. then started ohming out the wires. 28ohms for all except one that went to 200ohms. and yes the round type coils allow toy to use the vette and camaro wires which are shorter.

stock wires work the best with the ASM's. There are no gains from the aftermarket wires anyway.

my stockers are on except on those two cylinders. 3 and 4. the stock wires hit the header and cause it to melt the boot. maybe mine are a little different. but they do hit. im going to get a set of msd's tomorrow and see if they work.
