no man be nice don't get all crazy and lose your cool, just take it back and when they ask what is wrong tell them you need a tune up and a oil change,
lets see if they can figure it out with a rod hanging out or will they just keep pouring in the oil untill it runs out of the new drain hole in the block.

be like bill, heres your sign,

what did you do blow it up, nope just added a new vent hole to make it run cooler. heres your sign.

if they give you any grief call the BBB auto line. I filed a complaint a couple years ago with my '99 extended cab. I had folks from GM calling me within hours wanting to make a deal. GM does not want hickies with the BBB.

Wow... Sorry your motor popped, but be glad it's something that they'll easily be able to "diagnose". At least you'll get a whole new motor under waranty.

I really don't think you were hearing piston slap this whole time.

Pull your programmer out before you take it in. They will try anything to not warranty it. I never understand dealers not wanting to do warranty work. The techs get paid for the work, and GM pays or the parts. I have a friend that is always complaining about the shop manager running warranty business off. There must be some kind of incentive not to do warranty work from GM.

Wht is this piston slap noise that i keep hearing about. Whe does the noise occur? Kinda makes me curious. i have 950 miles on the truck now, but I will listen for something before I start modding.
